Disneyland

We ran into some technical diffuculties recently. We had a blast at Disneyland in March. This is the Underwood Family with Mickey.

Here are all the Schut grandkids ready to catch the shuttle for the first day in the Disneyland park. We got to ride the shuttle from the hotel to the park. That was one of Isaac's favorite parts of our vacation.
Isaac's favorite ride was the Tea Cups. He got to ride with Grandpa Schut who spun that cup until everyone, except Isaac, was almost sick. He got off and immediately said, "Let's do it again!" We rode the Tea Cups a total of 5 times in three days.

Overall we had a fabulous time!

OUCH!!

This year started out really well for the Underwood family. Then we seem to have gotten all the bad luck all at once.

I got a phone call around 7:30 at night on Feb 24th. Marshal was calling me to tell me that he didn't have an insurance  card and needed to go to the hospital. Apparently he had cut his middle finger earlier that day. After he cut himself, he got it under control and then went back to work. When he actually looked at it a few hours later, he realized that he needed stitches. So we called Grandpa Underwood to come stay with Isaac and I took Marshal to the Instacare. About an hour and a half  later we came home with a new personal record. Marshal ended up with five stitches, even through his childhood antics he had only had 4 stitches. So we have a new record, and hopefully we will not beat it any time soon.

Exactly a week after that happened, Isaac was jumping on his bed. I heard a crash and a scream and knew it couldn't be good. He was holding onto his dresser while jumping and had come down hard on his chin. He did a little damage to the inside of his lip. It took a while to get the bleeding under control, but after that and a few popsicles he was fine. We had finally healed a bit until a few days later.
We were looking at our new house. Which happens to have a sliding glass door. Isaac was in the front yard and ran thru the house to come to the back yard. He did not notice that the sliding door was open.  He went head over heels down 4 cement steps. It reminded Marshal and I that we really need to get a new first aid kit for the car. There we were, in a vacant house with no water, tissues or anything else. Grandmas to the rescue. Grandma Schut had napkins and a towel in the car so we got things under control fast. He ended up tearing the same place in his mouth that he had hurt two days before. He came home with a fat lip, a slightly swollen nose, a goose egg, and cement rash on his lips and nose. We were lucky that he didn't hurt himself worse. We are looking into getting a screen door for that sliding glass door, and working with Isaac on not running through doorways, especially in a place that we aren't familiar with.
